September 17th - 19th, 2021

Arden, North Carolina

The September show was great as always. Lots of new vendors joined us and will likely be a permanent addition to our MAGMA family of grass roots gem and mineral dealers.

I spent the day Wednesday getting the building cleaned up and ready for the weekend.

Show time!

John Sinclair, Meteorite USA. John is one of the top dealers in the country of meteorites, desert glass, moldavite and more.

Luther Hunt, Hunt Minerals. Luther has the wide selection of minerals and fossils from the US and all over the world.

Barbara Alred and the Healy twins with a variety of hobby related items.

One of our new vendors, Brandon Bennett. Brandon has a wide variety of minerals from all over the US and the world.

Daniel Panthas, G3MStones. Daniel is a rockhound and avid digger. He sells his local finds and offers a great selection of North Carolina minerals to those who visit our shows.

Bruce Camaniti, Which Way Mining. Bruce has been a North Carolina digger and gem and mineral dealer for many decades and offers the finest selection of gemstones from the Appalachian Mountains.

My booth. Ready for action!

Alex and Keith offer all sorts of carved stones, old collection material from Keith's lifetime of collecting. Spheres, gemstone eggs, fossils and more.

Our friend Johnny Clear came to the show and spent a couple of days with us.

I traded a sapphire to Carol for this cool Kraken. I thought it would be a good idea to have it guarding the 5,950 ct. star sapphire I had on display.

Got Rocks?

Barry Segura and William bring fossil diving to the mountains. Both are avid divers from Charleston, SC. They have fossils and artifacts from the Cooper River and other coastal rivers.

I met this couple at Graves Mountain. They have a large selection of Arkansas quartz crystals and novelty items, including a great supply of glass viles. I always get a couple dozen to load with trinitite.

Rob Stine Minescapes.

Carol the cook!

Phil Potter was back again with some great minerals to offer.

This little girl was afraid of Mr. Bobcat when she first saw him. I convinced her he was a nice cat and she took a liking to him.

We usually have a few rockhounds join us at our shows. This hairless cat was a first.

Join us for our 2021 show season finale, the December Christmas Show. We already have our show dates for 2022 set and you can find them at my website AmericanRockhound.com and on the Rock & Gem Magazine website and in their magazine. Hope to see you in December!
